Does keeping the MotherDuck panel open without activity incur continuous instance charges?

Hey guys. I need a confirmation: when I log in motherduck panel, regardless of querying or using notebooks, just keeping the browser opened, is my account being pinged, so there's instance charge continuously?

Hi Patrick! While you're actively using the MotherDuck UI, the tab sends a keepalive query about once a minute. That keeps your Duckling warm. After about 5 minutes without any interaction, the Duckling shuts down after its normal cooldown. So a tab left untouched in the background won't keep billing indefinitely. Let us know if you have any further questions!
