🤿 Introducing Dives We're excited to announce Dives, a new way to turn natural language questions into interactive visualizations, directly on top of your data in MotherDuck. Ask a question, get a Dive. Chat with your favorite AI agent (Claude, ChatGPT, etc.) and the MotherDuck MCP Server generates an interactive visualization. Behind the scenes, AI agents query your database, return results, and assemble the Dive for you. One-off questions become real-time answers. Every Dive is a persistent component in your workspace. Sub-second queries keep exploration instant, so you can filter and drill down without waiting. Composable with SQL. Visualize anything that lives in MotherDuck. You can also manage and update Dives through SQL, thanks to a new suite of SQL functions. Save and share. Filter and explore ad hoc analyses, then save them as a shareable asset in your workspace. 📢 MotherDuck Holiday Update 🛠️ As we head into the holidays, a couple of updates: Scheduled Maintenance: Sunday, Dec 28 at 10:00 AM PT We're performing an infrastructure upgrade on our US region that will make it unavailable for ~45 minutes. EU region is unaffected. Our US region was MotherDuck's first, built during our early alpha days, this maintenance brings it up to the same robust architecture already powering our EU region. If you have workloads in the US region, please pause any scheduled jobs or pipelines during this window. New connections and state-modifying operations (creating databases, schemas, shares) will fail during maintenance. Holiday Hours: We'll have limited coverage Dec 24 – Jan 1 and will focus on urgent issues only. If something critical comes up, we're here. 🚨 DuckDB NPM packages compromised with malware (Node, Node Neo, Wasm) 🚨 As some of you may have noticed, DuckDB published an advisory regarding several of their NPM packages. MotherDuck was not affected as we were not using any of the impacted versions. However, please ensure that you did not install the following versions of software client-side:

As a best practice, we recommend pinning your versions so you are not auto-updating the newest versions inadvertently. We will keep you posted if there are any new developments.
